Ad Group Setup

  • Step 3: In Search Ads Campaigns, ad groups are limited to TikTok search result placement. Keyword targeting is exclusively selected and managed at the ad group level. While setting up your ad group, please ensure you add bidding details in line with your campaign objective and business goals.

  • Step 4: Throughout the ad group set up process, please select all relevant targeting. Targeting options include the below selections:

    • Location

    • Age

    • Gender

    • Language

    • Spending Power

    • Household Income

    • Device

  • Step 5, Keyword Selection: After selecting all bidding and targeting for your ad group, you can now select which keywords you would like to target. To learn more about keywords and keyword targeting, please reference the Search Ads Keywords help center article.

  • Step 6, Budget Settings: Before moving to your creative and ad set up process, please set all budget details and scheduling for your new Search Ads Campaign Ad Group.

Recommended Budget Setting: set budgets to be 20x higher than your bid to ensure adequate budget and bids to have a successful Search Ads Campaign launch.

  • Step 7, Ad Setup: In the final stage of setting up your Search Ads Campaign, please upload your ad creative and ad details including the below features. Note that Search Ads Campaign supports multiple ad types and multiple ad formats, including video and carousel image ads. All ad creative formatting is aligned with standard In-Feed video ads, so no dimension customization is required. Click here to visit TikTok Ad Manager Creative Help Center.

    • Ad Name

    • Identity

    • Ad Details

      • Interactive Add-ons

      • Destination Page

    • Tracking

  • Step 8: Click the 'Submit' button at the bottom of your screeen when all of the ad setup materials are finished to save your campaign for launch.


Bulk Features

  • Keywords can be uploaded in bulk using an Excel file. Campaign and ad group structure can not be bulk uploaded by file.

  • There is no specific bulk template necessary. You can use a blank spreadsheet with keywords listed in column A, or utilize our Keyword Template file.
