Search Ads Toggle Compatibility

The TikTok Search Ads Campaign complements the Search Ads Toggle, and will not impact keyword targeting. If a search query matches a keyword associated with your account's search ad campaign, then the search ad campaign will take priority over the search ads toggle.


If a search query doesn’t match a search ads campaign keyword and is still relevant to a toggle enabled campaigns' ad creative, the Search Ads Toggle will be eligible to capture the relevant search. In this way, your account is able to capture all relevant searches, whether from keyword targeting or search ads toggle delivery.


Suggestion: Run the Search Ads Campaign with the Search Ads Toggle to maximize your opportunity to serve your ad creative next to relevant searches. While the Search Ads Campaign will capture all searches for specific advertiser selected keywords, the Search Ads Toggle will capture the remaining searches which are relevant but may not have been included as manual keywords.


When running the Search Ads Toggle together with the Search Ads Campaign, review the Search Ads Toggle search terms report to see what remaining search opportunities may be relevant but not covered in your Search Ad Campaigns keyword set. Consider using these search terms as new keywords to target, with curated ads from a new or existing Search Ad Campaigns.
